Some more treasures

I have been lucky with some pretty finds in charity shops recently.

This stilton jar from my favourite, the Cancer Research in Hounslow, spotted during the holidays, can add to the other two I found a couple of months ago, and these pretty blue pots had yoghurt in them, from France.

Also from the same shop, this Japanese MTK China cup and saucer. I have candle plans for this beauty, so watch this space!

A pretty cup and saucer by English Regal China  and a sweet conserve pot and spoon to add to a gift of jam or marmalade, or to keep for my tea table! Both from Age UK in Winchester on Saturday.

Hampshire

The Hampshire countryside is really beautiful. Even on a dull day, the rapeseed is such a golden yellow.

Fields on Magdalen Hill.

And this amazing sand sculpture spotted in Winchester yesterday

Cambridge

I collected two of my students who had been on a residential Science course at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. They had a wonderful three days of study, and I had the chance to browse the fab charity shops in this fair city, which I shall share in a future post.

The prettiest of the thousands of bikes

Brass plaques embedded in the pavement

A pleasure for the postman!

Those of a certain age will remember the Sinclair C5!
